To the Editor:
Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley extends its appreciation to everyone who supported the 40th Annual Community Bank Charity Golf Tournament June 17 at Partridge Run Golf Club. The event was a great success again this year, and we are very grateful for all the sponsors, players and volunteers who made this such a terrific tournament.
There were 153 golfers and proceeds raised for Hospice totaled $8,111.
The dedicated and enthusiastic work of the Community Bank event staff results in a successful tournament every year. We thank tournament chairperson David Peggs, Gina Boyd, Melissa Cloce, Claire LaGarry, Randy Pray, Brenda Rand, and Sherry Stone, Sandy Burnham, Pam Dent, Lynn Forbes, Joy Graves, Helen Hollinger, Bob Lobdell, Bonnie Miller, Mario Pusateri, Pam Smith, Dori Warren, Marsha Watson.
We thank Hospice volunteers Gail Bisonette, Helen Hutchinson, Shirley Martin, Kim Schneider, Doris Smith and Hope Strader for their help during the event. Partridge Run Golf Club manager Kevin Maginn, Denis Walsh and the club staff members did a great job hosting the event again this year. Our special thanks go to the 153 golfers who played this year in support of Hospice.
We thank Radio Shack, Canton, for donating a 37-inch flat-screen television as a raffle prize. We thank TJ Toyota and Mid-State Golf Car for sponsoring hole-in-one give-aways, as well as our many sponsors.
The event proceeds will help us significantly as we provide compassionate hospice and palliative care services, education and community outreach. For more information, please call 265-3105 or visit www.hospiceslv.org.
