To the Editor:
After inquiring why transgenic (GMO) food is not labeled as such, here is a synopsis of the answer that was given to me:
We don't label GM food because we don't want you to be informed, and we're not interested in enabling you decide for yourself whether you want to eat GM food or not. Unless you can prove to us - to our satisfaction - that there is a need to label GM food as GM food, we will continue to hide the fact that we’re selling you GMO food.
In short, I'm not at all satisfied with this answer.
