To the Editor:
The Friends of the Nature Center in Massena wish to thank all the volunteers that made their recent “Halloween Woods Walk” a success.
The annual event was held during the evening of October 18th and although it was damp and chilly, just over 70 participants enjoyed the festivities.
Children and adults of all ages went on the holiday hike and learned something new about animals in the North Country.
This night hike leads participants through a comical but educational skit along one of the trails.
The majority of volunteers playing animal parts were from the Massena High School.
This was a new experience for many of these students, but so much fun was had, they promise to be available next year as well.
The Friends would also like to thank volunteer Ron Riley and its board members that were able to come out and help.
They would especially like to thank Trombino’s for cooking and donating all the fantastic pizza that filled the volunteers before the hike! The night was a big success!

On behalf of the Friends of the Nature Center, Thank you all!
