Forsythe: I keep my promises

To the Editor:

I'm running for the 118th Assembly District. For the last six months I have travelled throughout this district talking with farmers, small businesses, healthcare professionals and taxpayers. People are frustrated with our current legislators and disappointed in state government.

As a small business owner, I know the restrictions imposed by the state are hindering job creation. My main focus will be to pull in the reigns on our regulatory agencies, fight for tax credits and make New York a more business friendly environment.

Through existing small businesses we can grow this economy. We need to shrink the number of people receiving assistance and get them collecting pay checks. I am the only candidate in this race that has maintained jobs, created jobs, and invested in businesses that wished to expand.

I pledged from the start that I would fund this race with mostly my own money and no outside interests. I have kept that pledge. I also stated I would run a clean race and stick to issues at hand. This I have done as well.

I attended community events, parades, and small business forums. Throughout this time I have taken my family along including my 13 year old son to show people who Dave Forsythe is.

I appreciate all the help I have received along the way and now have one last favor to ask. We need people to get out and vote!

I will work as hard as your Assemblyman as I have growing my own businesses. I will listen to the people I represent first and foremost. This is my pledge and I intend to keep it.
