To the Editor:
Why I urge you to support Sam Burns: Every legislator comes before you with a set of beliefs and actions that tell you what kind of person they are and what kind of decisions they will make.
Sam is a man of integrity and honesty whose roots run deep in his community. He is active in his church, in the Boys and Girls Club, the Seaway Festival, the Fort La Presentation group and many others t o some degree or other.
He grew up in a large family learning the art of cooperation and compromise quickly. Sam knows importance of loyalty and stands by his word.
I have seen him care deeply about people; checking on seniors in the high rises, eating with them and making sure the nutrition program is kept and improved.
Each of these actions, I have witnessed myself not counting the countless hours spent studying county programs and fighting to keep necessary services while being fiscally responsive to the needs of taxpayers.
It would be difficult to find a better, well-rounded, experienced legislator truly worthy of your vote on Nov. 4.
