Family at heart of Morris’s life

To the Editor:

Family is the heart and soul of St. Lawrence County Family Court Judge candidate Cecily Morris’s personal and professional life.

Cecily Morris, from Massena, family of nine children and the mother of four, has lived a lifetime of compassion and caring for families. Starting with her own and then for 22 years as an advocate helping those many children who have suffered neglect and often abuse in our county, and working for their just custody and support.

Cecily, as President of the St. Lawrence County Bar Association and a member of the county’s Domestic Violence Task Force, sees both the big picture of need and also the focused lives up close in her family court daily work over the years with attorneys and with family court judges from Eugene Nicandri to David Nelson to Barbara Potter to today in the office of David Demarest.

We can reward families and our county for Cecily Morris’ lifetime of working for families, by taking one day out of our lives to go the polls on election day, Tuesday, Nov. 8, and continue her service of helping families by voting for Cecily Morris.
