To the Editor:
New York residents: As election day approach's there are some very important decisions to me made. Our state is on the economic and social down slide.
Taxes are nearly the highest in the nation, our fuel prices are also some of the highest. Businesses are leaving NY. That means jobs are leaving.
It's time for a change: Andrew Cuomo has to be replaced as governor. He is corrupt (under federal investigation) and does not represent most of upstate,
I'm not talking about Poughkeepsie or Long Island. I'm talking about the real upstate New York, North of Albany and west of Syracuse.
In one Long Island county alone Andrew Cuomo raised over 35 million dollars in donations towards his campaign from a small number of people.
He clearly represents the special interests of the millionaires on Long Island and NY City. I could write paragraphs about his abuse of power, but in an effort to keep this short I'll endorse Rob Astorino.
It's time for a change. We have to send a clear message to Albany that upstate NY does not have the same lifestyle and traditions as the city.
A simple change makes that statement. If Rob Astorino does't do his job, then on the next election we vote him out as well. Simply keeping Cuomo in office is not the answer.
Whether you are a democrat or republican it's time to make this change. Spread the word! There is no way that Rob Astorino can compete with the campaign money that Cuomo is getting from the millionaires downstate.
It will take word of mouth and a grass roots movement to make this change.
