To the Editor:
The Town of Waddington is in a tight national competition for first place in the Ultimate Fishing Town competition.
I brought forward a resolution to the St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators to gain their support for Waddington in this national competition.
It passed unanimously on May 2. The legislature recognizes that a victory in this national competition is a success for the county and the North Country as a whole. This fits into our vision to promote tourism and to enhance our economy. It also ties in well with the SLC Chamber’s FISHCAP initiative.
At this time I ask for your support. For the first time Waddington has lost its lead to Roscoe NY. We must have more people log on to wfnfishingtown.com and vote in the 4 daily blocks.
To be more effective the Waddington Chamber could vote for you by proxy in the 4 daily voting blocks in this competition. If you’re interested, go to WFN and vote, receive the WFN verification email, confirm, and then send waddingtonchamber@gmail.com a message that you give permission to the chamber to vote 4 times daily with your E-address.
Volunteers are staying up late at night and getting up EARLY in the morning to take care of all the proxies. Please join our effort to make a positive difference today! Use your right to vote!
