To the Editor:

As the St. Lawrence County Legislator representing the people of the six towns of Clare, Colton, Hopkinton, Parishville, Piercefield, and Pierrepont, it’s my pleasure to endorse Republican candidate Jerry Moore, as your next County Legislator for your towns, and our county.

I do this knowing that Jerry will represent you well, as he has served many years as Town Supervisor of the Town of Parishville, acquiring a great deal of valuable experience and knowledge which he can immediately apply to our county government.

Jerry has also gained much additional experience working as a town code enforcement officer, listening to people, and working with them to resolve difficult problems for the good of the people and community. I also know Jerry to be an avid supporter of our County Multi-Use Trail System, and well versed in Adirondack issues.

Within my tenure as Legislator, I witnessed Jerry lend leadership and direction to the people of Parishville as they struggled with a controversial wind development plan, the likes of which has torn other north country communities apart. Listening to all, and allowing all to be heard in a respectful manner, Jerry and the Parishville Town Board were able to resolve this difficult issue in a positive manner for their community.

Jerry’s opponent this Election Day is a Republican running on the Democrat line, and it is alleged that Jerry’s opponent will join the Democrat party if elected. Why did Jerry’s opponent choose to circumvent a primary instead of allowing voters to choose the candidate of their choice? What is the reasoning behind this Democrat Party plan?

With Jerry, you know who he is and where he stands. An experienced and knowledgeable man, with a heart that truly cares about people and community. Please join me on Election Day to elect Jerry Moore your next County Legislator.
