To the Editor:
Forty years ago a group of churches saw a need in Potsdam and the surrounding communities and the C.O.R.C. Store was established.
The goal of the store was to and still is to operate and maintain a distribution center for the dispersal of used clothing and household items to the needy. On April 10, 1973 the C.O.R.C. Store opened. Forty years later we are still here and would like to celebrate that achievement.
On Saturday, April 27, we will be having a “birthday bash” with cake and ice cream, and a $.40 sale for that day.
We will be starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Please come and join us as we celebrate our first “40 years” and the start of our second “40 years.”
Also mark your calendars for Sat. May 18, 2013 as this is the date for the “Spring Fling.”
