To the Editor:
Tired of the long cold winter doldrums? Suffering from feeling cabin fever? Become active to relieve those tiresome moods. You can make a difference for the children of the world, especially the children of your community.
Consider becoming involved as a member of a notable and worthwhile club and/or organization that provides valuable guidance and leadership in the development of your community’s children.
Who can make a difference? Our doors are open to service-minded women and men looking to volunteer their time and resources to enhance the lives of needy children in your community. We invite you to learn more about the nearly 300,000 Kiwanians worldwide currently making an international difference, one child at a time.
Just one hour of your volunteer time can translate into countless opportunities for a child. Kiwanis clubs/members throughout the world have sponsored 147,000 service projects in one year, to take on causes such as literacy, leadership and special needs of children.
Today…tomorrow…always! When you help a child, you’re building a bridge between generations and towards the future. Your kindness, generosity and knowledge will influence a child’s life forever, sometimes in very small ways, sometimes in very great ways, but always in a lasting way.
Volunteering starts with you and spreads outward. Why not consider Kiwanis?
