To the Editor:
On behalf of Partners With Ethiopia, I would like to extend thanks to my friends here in the North Country who made the recent rummage sale at New Hope Community Church a huge success! $1,751.54 was raised to help educate and empower orphaned and vulnerable children in Ethiopia. To put this in perspective, that is more than a year's salary for a school teacher.
Thank you to the many tireless volunteers who helped organize, sort, set up, cash people out, and clean up. Thank you also to New Hope Community Church for hosting the sale, to everyone who donated items to be sold, and of course, to the shoppers! None of this would have been possible without each and every one of you.
I am heading over to Ethiopia March 30, if you'd like to follow my trip on social media, or to learn more about what Partners With Ethiopia is all about, please check out facebook.com/PartnersWithEthiopia.
