To the Editor:
This weekend the Catholic Church celebrates the apostles Peter and Paul. Peter was the man Jesus chose to build His Church. Peter was also the man that denied Jesus three times.
Have you denied Jesus? Paul not only denied Jesus, he persecuted the Church of God beyond measure. In the end he brought many to join the faith.
Jesus chose men who denied and persecuted him to keep the Church of his Father going. Both of these men were reluctant believers.
Have there been times when you have been reluctant to turn to the Church? Are you at a point in your life where you want more from your faith? Were you baptized Catholic but never received other sacraments or are you interested in becoming Catholic?
There is a program in place that might be right for you. Call Sacred Heart/St. Lawrence Rectory in Massena for more information at 769-2469.
