To the Editor:

I am writing to you about our Christmas dinner appeal. This annual free dinner has fed our community for over 20 years. The fundraising campaign we ask for has always come from local community that has seen for themselves the basic necessities to feed the families with continue rise in the cost of everyday expenses.

We do not just offer a free meal, but a community meeting of friends and families to socialize together, with support from each other. They are not alone in this time they can come for a free meal.

This annual free Christmas dinner appeal is for the community, there will be many local community volunteers that will help prepare our hall an serve this always welcome dinner.

The donations can be mailed to Amvets Post 19, 215 Ford St., Ogdensburg NY 13669. To volunteer with prep, serving or deliveries stop by the post or call 393-6140.
