To the editor:

This year, the American Legion Riders from Post #925 (Norfolk) held a charity motorcycle ride to benefit the American Legion Legacy Foundation Fund, which helps provide educational money for the children of service people who have died for this country. We were able to present a check to them for $3576. Raising this much money for such a good cause would not have been possible without the wonderful support of our communities and the dedicated work of our members.

We would like to thank the New York State Troopers and the Mohawk Tribal Police for their assistance in traffic control and for helping enure the safety of the 53 motorcycles that took part. The ride would not have been possible without the exceptionally generous support and hospitality of the American Legion Post #1479 of Hogansburg, American Legion Post #420 of Waddington, AMVETS Post #1997 of Heuvelton, and our very own American Legion Post #925 of Norfolk. We would like to thank all of the members of the American Legion Riders for their donations of food and time in helping make this a success.
