‘Car-B-Que’ IN Ogdensburg is successful thanks to group effort

On behalf of the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce, I would like to thank all the businesses and community members who helped make the 12th Annual Car-B-Que successful.

We had a variety of entertainment! Maggie Gebo had a face painting booth available and the Kid’s Place from the Remington Art Museum did a project with the kids. The 10th Mountain Division Band kept the crowd entertained with their wonderful music. We had a 50/50 raffle which was won by Lester Gates – who generously donated a portion back to the Chamber. Our grill was sponsored by Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center and Wal-Mart and the (5) piece patio set was donated from Lowe’s Home Improvement store. Jones Insurance donated the propane tank. Glen Nelson, from Iroquois, Ontario won the Grill/Patio Set raffle. Laurie and Dave Demers were there with the Rainbow Ice Cream truck to provide a treat!

A special thank you to the 59 classic cars and trucks that were the highlight of our Car-B-Que. We also had three antique snowmobiles and six motorcycles and a Schwinn bike from Lowell Groulx.

We could not have been successful without the assistance of the City of Ogdensburg and the City Recreation Department – thank you so much for helping us set-up the Car-B-Que at the Dobisky Visitor’s Center and Marina!
