To the Editor:
I would like to extend my utmost appreciation to Kevin LaMora and the countless volunteers that made the Colton Youth Fishing Derby a huge success this past weekend.
This was my daughter's first experience in such an event and the level of excitement that she experienced from being a participant was captivating.
The entire process from registration, to weigh-in, to the award ceremony was remarkably executed. The level of interest created in the community by this event was awe-inspiring and I am grateful to have been a part of it.
I would also like to extend a thank you to the dozens of local businesses and individuals who donated a myriad of items in support of the event.
I'm sure I speak for the hundreds of local community members who took part in this event when I say thank you again and keep up the good work, we all look forward to next year's derby!
