Canton man wants to know why Border Patrol cares about his job, car

In response to “Border Patrol Road Blocks Infringe Our Rights,” which ran in the March 7-13 issue of North Country This Week, I have also been subject to harassment on the roadside by law enforcement in the North Country.

I've never seen it like this any place I've lived so far. Having federal officers stop all traffic to ask about my job or car seems nuts. I hope someone takes action against this before it spreads to other areas of the country.

The biggest danger the Border Patrol is facing must be my window tint. That's what they're usually asking about. Maybe they're just bored. I thought they were supposed to be stopping terrorism or illegal aliens, not worrying about my job at the college.

Speak up people, before it gets worse.
