To the Editor:
“Does the candidate feel any obligation to explain and report on activity in the legislature?” A resident of the Canton-Potsdam area recently posted this question in an online discussion about the upcoming election for St. Lawrence County legislators. I think that’s a fair question, and I’d like to address it.
My answer is yes, if I’m elected next month as District 10 Legislator (Potsdam). I plan to write an update after each vote in the legislature, briefly explaining what options were discussed and why I voted the way I did. Potsdam residents, and anyone else who may be interested, will be able sign up to receive the updates by e-mail.
Thanks for the great question. District 10 voters can vote for me as the Independence candidate, if they prefer, or as the Republican or Conservative candidate.
