To the Editor:
I was one of the 80 Canadians who enjoyed the friendly hospitality that is (the "Hobble Gobble"race). I came down with a group of seven from Ottawa, one of whom, Sharon Macmillan will have her name on the shirt next year. I can't begin to tell you how impressed I was with every aspect of the race.
One highlight for me were those moments of listening and singing our two national anthems, led by a very good choral group standing under the biggest tree that I have seen in a long time, on a blue sky day! The rendering of Oh Canada, honoured your visitors beyond what I can describe. You and your terrific team really made us visitors feel welcome.
Thank you. I will definitely be back next year, along with more running friends. That said I wish for your run that nothing changes at least not spoiled by size.
A charming time.
Dave Marcotte, Ottawa
