Campaign contributions form of free speech?

Posted

To the Editor:

Our national Supreme Court has declared spending money (as campaign contribution) is a form of free speech, therefore, guaranteed by our constitution.

In doing so, it has made the people with less money unequal to the people with more money in matter of politics, therefore, violating our Equal Rights amendment in selection and election of our political representatives. It has misinterpreted one amendment to violate another. Indeed, it takes a dishonest court to equate bribe with free speech.

Politics are often dirty politics. The Washington politicians are mega jerks who would sell any national interest to get lobby money.

Get rid of the lobby money and they will have to work for all classes of the people in order to keep their lucrative jobs and the unspoken perks associated with it instead of prostituting themselves for whoever pays them more.
