To the Editor:
My sincere thanks go out to everyone who supported “Blueline Magazine” by celebrating its 35th anniversary at Between the Buns Restaurant on November 7.
The event was a great success and a real tribute to the vitality of literature and art in the Adirondack region. More than 85 guests enjoyed the dinner and entertainment. I’m especially grateful to Alice Wolf Gilborn, the magazine’s founding editor, and Dr. Maurice Kenny for giving lively readings from their publications.
The poets Lee Slonimsky and David Crews shared inspiring works as well. I also want to extend many warm thanks to The John McNutt Band, whose members travelled up from Philadelphia, Pa, to perform two great sets of rock that night.
I’m also grateful for the thoroughly professional work done by Matt Cressey, executive chef at Between the Buns, who helped me in planning the whole event. The buffet dinner was excellent and well served. Matt and his staff clearly know how to coordinate large events; I’m glad they’re so dedicated to serving the community.
“Blueline: A Literary Magazine Dedicated to the Spirit of the Adirondacks” is published annually by the Department of English and Communication at SUNY Potsdam.
