To the Editor:

The E.J. Noble Guild would like to thank all those who contributed and participated in the Holly Berry Bazaar which was held Saturday December, 6 at the Canton High School cafeteria.

We would like to thank the bazaar contributors who were Canton Price Chopper, Glow Skincare and Spa, St. Lawrence University, Snell’s Service and Repair, Community Bank and Dennis Del Rossi. The winners of the raffle were: Judy Johnson, Price Copper gift card; Stacie Woodward, Glow mini-escape package; Steve Livernois, SLU season hockey tickets for two; Tiffany Rook, two oil changes at Snell’s; Nancy Foisy, red maple made by Dennis Del Rossi and Mary Ann Ashley, Canton Currency.

Thanks to all who baked for us and made pies and other goodies. Thanks to Price Chopper for donating three dozen muffins. We had screeners from the Canton-Potsdam Hospital giving up their Saturday morning to check blood pressures, check for sleep apnea, check bone density and grip strength. Sean Boutin gave a display of Tai Chi which can improve general health and balance.

Thanks to Mrs. Busch and the high school chorus who sang their hearts out and brought us Christmas joy and spirit with their carols. Thanks to Whites Flowers for donating the holly and Bonnie Moore for organizing the White Elephant sale. Thanks to the high school kids and the St. Lawrence University volunteers who carried boxes from our cars and helped us set up the room Friday afternoon.

The bazaar brought in over $4,000. We could not do any of this without community support. All proceeds will benefit Canton-Potsdam Hospital to fund projects, purchase new equipment and attain its goal of providing quality healthcare for the people of the North Country.
