Letter to Editor:
On behalf of the Massena Joint Recreation Commission and all of the skaters who took part in our annual tradition, I would like to thank the following organizations and businesses for sponsoring the annual Christmas holiday free public skating sessions at the Massena Arena:
AMVETS Post #4, An Italian Affair , Harte Haven Shopping Center, Massena Elks Club, Massena Rotary Club, MCS Dress Down Day, Moser’s Custom Trim, Phillips Memorial Home, Mike Hazelton Memorial Scholarship Fund, Curran Renewable Energy and Donaldson Funeral Home.
The generosity of the above businesses and organizations was greatly appreciated by all skaters, young and old, who took advantage of these free sessions.
The Massena Arena continues to offer ice time to the public during the normal workweek with parents and tots from 10 to 11 a.m. and public skating from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $5 per session. We also offer recreational hockey from 1 to 3 p.m. for $5 per session.
