To the Editor:
Reading the letter of Carl Mogerman (Feb. 23-March 1), “Speak Up About Animal Abuse,” it is clear how backwards our morality has become – “Hurt an animal, hurt a child.” We’re now equating animals with children; we’re more concerned about a wounded wild creature, than a baby “created in the image of God.”
“While others talked and turned their backs, two women…saved the animal, as they felt they had to…”
Why aren’t we saving the innocent babies being torn apart by the evil of abortion?
“The problem is that such cruelty can only continue in the dark…So what might reduce and end local cruelties? If we witness abuse of any creature (baby) and refuse to stop it, we are the real victims. After the animal (baby in her mom’s womb) screams/vanishes/dies, we live a long time with the grief, regret and guilt.”
Daily, over 3,000 unborn babies are being torn apart, limb by limb, under the legalized cloak called abortion, while we sit around doing nothing – our hidden holocaust of defenseless babies, tortured and mutilated in the death camps of Planned Parenthood.
But what do we get upset about? A one-legged goose simply stuck in his natural elements.
(P.S. – I think the humane thing would have been to shoot him and end his suffering.) Come on human beings, we need to talk!
