The Cancer Services Program of St. Lawrence County would like to thank all those who participated in the October 2011 ‘Go Pink” campaign. The focus of “Go Pink” was to raise awareness of breast cancer and increase the capacity of effective breast health programs in St. Lawrence County.
According to the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Burden Profile, 2011, female breast cancer in St. Lawrence County accounts for 11.8% of all cancer cases and 5.2% of all cancer deaths.
Cancer Services Program of St. Lawrence County works to provide public and healthcare provider education about cancer prevention and early detection as well as provide free breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening to uninsured residents in St. Lawrence County.
Uninsured women age 40-64 and men age 50-64 can call Cancer Services Program at 386-2325 to screen for eligibility.
Again, thank you to all of our partners for their continued support of the Cancer Services Program.
