To the Editor:
On behalf of the Community Lunch Program for Kids volunteers, and the children who received large boxes of breakfast and lunch food items at our recent June 21 distribution, we would like to express our most sincere appreciation to members of the Norwood American Legion and the Tuper Family for their most generous gift of $1,000 towards our program.
Because this gift was so generous, it covered the cost of the entire distribution (with some money to go towards our July distribution, as well!) This gift provided boxes of breakfast/lunch food items for over 60 local families with over 160 children!
By the standards of the Food Bank of Central New York this equates to over 1,600 meals! And because of this, we dedicated our June distribution to the Ron Tuper Foundation. We attached labels to the boxes of food that stated that that entire food distribution was made possible by The Norwood American Legion and the Ron Tuper Endowment Fund.
What a wonderful way to honor the memory of a loved one!
Once again, words cannot express our most sincere appreciation of the generosity towards and support of our program!
Thank you.
