Winthrop resident honored by Broadcast Education Association for film about emergency workers in New York

Daniel Frohm, originally of Winthrop was honored by the Broadcast Education Association for making a film about cross-agency mobile radio communications system for E-911, fire, law enforcement and other first responders in central and northern New York.

The team of Frohm, Joseph Salvatore and Shaune Killough tied for third in the instructional/educational category of the Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts, a national competition.

Their video was made under contract with the Central New York Interoperable Communications Consortium.

Nine counties in central and northern New York, including St. Lawrence County, cooperate with the consortium's project for an effective cross-agency mobile radio communications system for first responders.
