WADDINGTON -- Gabrielle L. McBath of Waddington recently completed her doctorate in educational leadership at Northcentral University. She authored a dissertation titled “Comprehending collegiate volunteerism post-September 11, 2001: A hermeneutic phenomenological study."

McBath said the study looked at human motivation and volunteerism after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. Participants of this study were undergraduates and alumni who participated in a collegiate volunteer service program in western New York, McBath said.

She holds master’s degrees from LeMoyne College in educational leadership and SUNY Cortland in secondary English and an undergraduate degree from St. John Fisher College in English and German.
