Azure Mountain Friends (AMF) has named two St. Lawrence County college-bound high school students winners of its 2018 scholarships, worth $750 each.
They are Al'lainya Dumas of Massena and Brianna Larrabee of Canton.
Scholarship winners are chosen on the basis of personality, fitness, and familiarity with the Azure Mountain area. The are required to serve as volunteer summit stewards at the restored fire tower on the mountain, near St. Regis Falls, on five separate weekend days during the summer.
Larrabee will attend St. Lawrence University in the fall. Dumas will enroll in the University of Vermont.
