Nancy Fuller and Terri Streeter of Gouverneur were among those selected as “Real Heroes” by the North Country Chapter of the American Red Cross this year.
Fuller and Streeter will receive the Blood Donor Award, according to a press release.
The chapter will host its annual Real Heroes Breakfast Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Watertown.
At the breakfast, the Red Cross will present awards, including the Blood Donor Award, to local citizens whose “extraordinary acts of service have made them Real Heroes in our community this year,” the release said.
“This year’s Real Heroes are inspiring in many ways,” said Jane Gendron, executive director for the North Country Chapter of the American Red Cross.
“We are honored to be able to tell their stories and celebrate their impact in our community at the Real Heroes Breakfast.”
