Carli E. Baldwin of Canton and Thressa A. Zimmerman of Canton were recently selected for membership in the St. Lawrence University chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society.
Baldwin is a member of the class of 2016 and is majoring in history.
She attended Hugh C. Williams Senior High School.
Zimmerman is a member of the class of 2017 and is majoring in history.
She also attended Hugh C. Williams Senior High School.
To be eligible for membership in the Pi Eta Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, a student must have taken at least four courses in history and obtained a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.1.
The student also must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
It is not necessary to be a history major or minor to join Phi Alpha Theta.
