Two Canton Central School students were selected as Augsbury/North Country Scholars recipients at St. Lawrence University.
Morgan Rosser, daughter of Keith and Laurey Rosser, and Madison O’Shea, daughter of Robert and Aneta O’Shea, have been named North Country Scholars.
The scholarship is a financial award, initiated in 1974, to recognize “academic and co-curricular leadership” among North Country and Canadian high school students, according to a press release from Canton Central School.
Selected students demonstrate leadership, community service, and academic commitment, and a desire to attend St. Lawrence University.
Scholarship winners receive a financial aid package to help meet scholars’ demonstrated financial needs.
Both Rosser and O’Shea plan to attend St. Lawrence University in the fall.
