“Inscrutable” by Alison Charles of Waddington depicts a snowy owl at Cole’s Creek.
Three St. Lawrence County photographers won prizes in the Adirondack Mountain Club Laurentian Chapter’s photo contest, with a Waddington resident taking the grand prize.
Alison Charles of Waddington took top honors for her photo of a snowy owl at Cole’s Creek titled “Inscrutable.”
Eileen Wheeler of Canton won the landscape category for “Serene View - Jay Range.”
Duncan Cutter of Nicholville won the people category for “Eileen Wheeler and Jay Peak.”
Art Boni of Ottawa won the action category for “Descending Mt. Marcy in Late Winter Snow Storm” and the nature category for “Gatineau Park - Gnarly Trees.”
Photos receiving honorable mention went to photos by Marianne Hebert of Potsdam, John Barron of Ottawa, Charles and Boni.
Judges included Dick Mooers of Potsdam and Jim Bullard of Hannawa Falls.
