POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam’s Pointercounts, an all-male a cappella group, recently took first place at the International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella at the Experimental Music and Performing Arts Center in Troy.
They will advance to the competition’s semi-final round in Boston on March 23.
They bested nine other a cappella groups for the right to advancement.
The Pointercounts fashioned a score of 399. They took honors including and was Outstanding Choreography, designed by student Alec Sisco, and Outstanding Soloist, Andrew Pacer. They are both seniors at the Crane School of Music.
