POTSDAM -- Laura Fair-Schulz, faculty member in SUNY Potsdam’s Department of fine art, was awarded the United University Profession's most prestigious journalism award, the Phillip H. Smith Best of the Best Award.
Peer selected by a panel of professional journalists, her editorial, Open Letter to administration on Contingent Faculty, highlights the measurably increasing erosion of full-time labor in academia and the impact it is having on faculty, students, and the nature of public education.
