CANTON -- SUNY Canton University Police Lieutenants Brian E. Kurish and Brian J. Perry recently received the FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (LEEDA) Trilogy Award.
Kurish and Pery were honored after successfully completing advanced law enforcement training courses through the FBI-LEEDA Supervisor Institute, Command Leadership Institute and Executive Leadership institute. They completed the three courses within one year.
Topics covered include leadership case studies, performance and risk management, command discipline and liability, bias and diversity, social and emotional intelligence, and public trust.
Each of the three courses are four-and-a-half day immersive programs designed for police supervisors.
Kurish and Perry have both worked at SUNY Canton's University Police Department for nearly 20 years.
