OGDENSBURG -- In support of Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s next capital campaign, the SUNY Canton Foundation has committed $25,000 in scholarship support to assist Claxton-Hepburn employees seeking a SUNY Canton nursing or bachelor of science in nursing degree.

The scholarship was established to encourage employees to continue their education and pursue higher levels of training in order to provide the highest level of care to the community.

For five years, employees will be selected through an application process for a $1,000 scholarship to help them with tuition and other applicable expenses as they pursue a two or four-year nursing degree.

The first recipients chosen to receive the scholarships were Rebecca Mills, Madison Brossoit and Elizabeth Lytle.
