Stockholm native promoted to first sergeant in Army

Douglas J. LeBoeuf, Stockholm, was promoted to First Sergeant at Fort Leonard Wood MO. LeBoeuf, a 1995 graduate of St. Lawrence Central School and enlisted in the Army in July of that year as a 12B Combat Engineer.

He graduated from basic training and advanced individual training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO in November 1995.

His assignments include B Co. 82nd Engineer Battalion, Bamberg, Germany as a Combat Engineer; 9th Engineer Battalion, Schweinfurt, Germany as a Sapper Team Leader; 70th Engineer Battalion, Ft. Riley, KS as a Sapper Squad Leader; 554th Engineer Battalion as a EBOLC Platoon Trainer; 5th Engineer Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood, MO as a Sapper Platoon Sergeant; 162nd Infantry Brigade, FT. Polk, LA as a Combat Advisor; and the NCO Academy, Ft Leonard Wood, MO as a Senior Small Group Leader of the Engineer Advanced Leader Course.

His deployments include OPERATION JOINT ENDEAVOR, Bosnia 1996; OPERATION JOINT GUARDIAN, Kosovo 1999-2000; OPERATION DESERT SPRING, Kuwait 2002; OIF 2003-2004; OIF 2005-2006; OIF 2008-2009; and OEF 2001-2012.

His military education include Belgian Commando School (1998), Warrior Leader Course (WLC) (1999), Advanced Leader Course (ALC) (2006), Sapper Leader Course (2007), Route Reconnaissance Clearance Course (Sapper) (2009), Senior Leader Course (SLC) (2010), Urban Mobility Breacher Course (UMBC) (2010), Unit Search Advisor Course (2010), Explosive Ordnance Clearance Agent Course (EOCA) (2010), Master Fitness Course (2011), Army Basic Instructor Course (2012), Initial Faculty Development Course (2012), and Small Group Instructor Course (2012), and Small Group Instructor Course (2012). He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Homeland Security through Central Texas College.

He is the son of Fred and Sandi Cockayne of Stockholm and is married to the former Lori Sangster of Greensburg, KS.

He has two daughters; Emily, 3 and Brooke, three weeks.

His hobbies include hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

He and his family currently reside in Dixon, MO.
