CANTON -- St. Lawrence University recently hired four new tenure-track faculty, who will began teaching the upcoming semester.
They also hired nine visiting assistant professors for the 2017-18 academic year. Novelist Okey Ndibe was appointed as this year’s Viebranz Visiting Professor of Creative Writing.
Tenure-track faculty include:
Yesim Bayar is joining the Department of Sociology after having taught at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
Jillian Jaeger joins St. Lawrence as an assistant professor in the Department of Government.
Laura Mills-Smith comes to St. Lawrence as an assistant professor in psychology from a visiting position at Roanoke College in Virginia. Michael O'Hara earned his Ph.D. at Binghamton University, then taught at Colgate University and Hamilton College.
