St. Lawrence Health System's cardiologist Bass earns board certification in cardiovascular disease

Dr. Bass joined the medical staff of St. Lawrence Health System’s Canton-Potsdam Hospital in September, 2018. He is practicing with colleagues Patricia Ellis, NP; Jayaram Radhakrishnan, MD; and Alexandru Stoian, MD, FACC, FCCP in the cardiology suite at the Helen Snell Cheel Medical Campus, 49 Lawrence Ave., Potsdam.

Board certification is achieved by a physician or surgeon after an examination of the applicant’s advanced study and skill by a board of specialists in the field.

Bass earned his medical degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also board-certified in internal medicine, adult echocardiography, and nuclear Cardiology.

He completed his residency through SUNY Downstate Department of Internal Medicine, and received his training at University Hospital of Brooklyn, King’s County Hospital Center, and Brooklyn Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center.

Dr. Bass has published several medical articles, and is a member of the American College of Cardiology. Along with English, he is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and Georgian.

As a cardiologist, Dr. Bass has expertise in all areas of adult cardiology, including coronary artery and valve disease, cardiomyopathy, adult congenital heart disease, arrhythmias, preventative cardiology, and cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
