St. Lawrence Health System’s CPH pediatrician receives board certification
POTSDAM -- St. Lawrence Health System’s pediatrician Heather Jones, MD, received her board certification from the American Board of Pediatrics, effective Oct. 18. 2017.
Jones received her medical degree from Warren Alpert Medical School, Brown University, Providence, R.I., and completed a pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Lebanon, N.H.
Jones provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient diagnosis and treatment of disorders and diseases affecting children up to age 18. She also provides wellness examinations, school sports exams, and vaccinations. She joined St. Lawrence Health System in 2017, and practices at 190 Outer Main St. Potsdam.
Board certification from the American Board of Pediatrics follows a rigorous and comprehensive examination of a pediatrician’s advanced application of specialized training the pediatrics. A total of 25 areas of specialized training, including neo-natal and adolescent care, mental and behavioral health, preventative care, emergency and critical care, and oncology are evaluated for ABP Certification.
