Joshua Eng of Norwood, a freshman at St Lawrence University, recently received the Bradley R. Evers Outstanding First-Year Student Award at St. Lawrence University.
Eng was nominated for this award by the freshman faculty and residential staff. The award is presented to a freshman student who has a strong academic average, has been involved in a variety of academic and co-curricular activities and has made positive contributions to the freshman class.
Eng was on the dean’s list for his first semester, ran indoor and outdoor track and participated in intramural basketball.
He worked at the Stafford Fitness Center and as an instructor for CPR/first aid for the St. Lawrence campus students and staff.
Eng graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School and plans to declare his college major in business administration.
He is the son of Theresa Eng of Norwood.
