POTSDAM -- The SUNY Potsdam Epsilon Upsilon chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society for education, recently inducted new members.
The 32 inductees included both undergraduates and graduate students studying education.
The students included: Alison Spears, Ogdensburg, whose major is childhood/early childhood education. Chelsea Cutway, Edwards, whose major is spanish education. Christine Swyers, Colton, whose major is literacy specialist. Debra Higginson,Waddington, whose major is curriculum and instruction. Donald Lamitie, Ogdensburg, whose major is curriculum and instruction. Katelyn Driscoll, Potsdam, whose major is early childhood/childhood education. Kylie Stenger, Potsdam, whose major is childhood education. Rachel Bender, Rensselear Falls, whose major is childhood education.
Kappa Delta Pi inducts only those individuals who have exhibited the ideals of scholarship, integrity in service, and commitment to excellence in teaching and its allied professions.
Selection as a member of Kappa Delta Pi is based on high academic achievement, a commitment to education as a career, and a professional attitude that assures steady growth in the profession.
