Several St. Lawrence artists selected by Fredric Remington Art Museum for 2013 International Juried Art Exhibit

 OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum announced art selected for the 2013 International Juried Art Exhibit, which opens Sept. 21 with a public reception from 2 to 4 p.m.

Juror Susan Ashbrook selected 38 works of art by 35 artists from a group of 144 images submitted. The biannual exhibit is open to artists within 100 miles of Ogdensburg.

Local artists include: Timur Isack Azaev, Hannawa Falls, Georgette Bacon, Nicholville, Angela Ballou, Potsdam, Marion Bradish, Winthrop, Bruce Dana, Morristown, Shay Dygert, Gouverneur, Lorre Florin, Ogdensburg, Genine Gehret, DeKalb Junction, Ron Larsen, Crary Mills, John Morrow, Ogdensburg, Paul N. Pedersen, Hermon, Thomas J. Robarge, Ogdensburg, Sue Robinson, Ogdensburg, and Judy Andrus Toporcer, Colton.

The exhibit will be on view in the museum’s Richard E. Winter Gallery through Jan. 11, 2014.

Many of the works will be for sale. One third of the proceeds benefit the Frederic Remington Art Museum, and two thirds go to the artist.
