POTSDAM -- Several Clarkson University faculty members were recently honored for their research achievements at the school's Excellence in Research Awards Reception.
Evgeny Katz was awarded Clarkson's Lifetime Research Achievement Award. The award is granted annually to recognize research by a tenured faculty member who is recognized internationally for a body of work that exemplifies the highest level of research accomplishment and has made a significant impact on their chosen field of study, the school said.
Egon Matijevic, Silvana Andreescu and Stephanie Schuckers each received the Clarkson Faculty Award for Excellence in Research, established in 2013 to recognize research by tenured faculty members that have had a significant impact on their chosen field of study, the school said.
Also honored were Joseph Skufca for his induction into the Million Dollar Club and Schuckers for her induction into the Multi-Million Dollar Club. The Million Dollar Club recognizes researchers whose investigations and activities have been supported with $1 million or more in externally sponsored research funding. The Multi-Million Dollar Club honors faculty with more than $5 million in externally sponsored research funding, the school said.
