Seven Girl Scouts from St. Lawrence County recently earned high honors from the organization.
Sidney Geurard of Brasher Falls, Rachyl Beckstead of Helena and Kelsey White of Winthrop received the silver award for girls in sixth through eighth grade.
They completed a Girl Scout Cadette Journey and spent at least 50 hours on a project that leaves a lasting, positive impact on the local community.
Alexis Cushman, Katie Dollinger, Margaret Doty, Amanda Kendrick and Riley O’Shea of troop 50228 that covers Canton and Rensselaer Falls earned the bronze award, which is given to Girl Scout Juniors.
They spent at least 20 hours on a project with a positive, lasting local impact.
