Cody White of Russell, serving with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 427th Brigade Support Battalion, was recently promoted to the rank of private first class in the New York Army National Guard.
The promotion was in recognition of “capability for additional responsibility and leadership,” according to a press release from Major General Anthony P. German, the adjutant general for the State of New York.
Army National Guard promotions are “based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential,” he said.
