POTSDAM -- Madelyn Ball '14, a UNH chemical engineering student from Potsdam, has received an honorable mention in the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program.
The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship, awarded to 300 students nationwide annually, is the most prestigious award in the country conferred upon undergraduates studying the sciences.
Ball was a research intern in the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program in Nanotechnology at Stony Brook University in summer 2011.
She is a member of the Society of Women Engineers.
