POTSDAM -- A Clarkson student and Potsdam resident recently received a Barry M. Goldwater scholarship.
Ruisheng "Rick" Wang, Potsdam, a mechanical engineering major, won the grant.
Wang’s Goldwater proposal details a clinically significant non-invasive technique of cardiovascular disease risk assessment using accelerometers. This summer, he will be working at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital through a fellowship granted by the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. Wang plans to pursue a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering and would like to eventually start his own biotech company.
